Our USB Servo II Controller is a cost effective solution, designed to provide a USB interface to real world devices and or
products. It can be used in industrial, commercial, amusement, or many other applications, allowing a PC's USB port to control Human Interface Devices(HID's).
The servo outputs can be used to bring motion to a device, drive a motion platform, animate a figurine(animatronics), robotics, provide player feedback in a game, or many other applications.
Eight
optically isolated inputs provide an interface to events or conditions. They can be used to watch for user inputs, travel limits, motion sensing, or any other external event or condition.
Eight sink outputs provide a pathway from your software to outside the PC. They can be used to run indicators, motors, contactors, safety interlocks, or any other external device you need to trigger.
Connection to the USB Servo II
Controller is simple. 3 row .1" headers allow connection of standard
off-the-shelf servos. A two pin Plugable terminal block is used to accept
external power
for the servos. A "B" type USB connector is used for connection via a cable, to your USB port.
Our USB Servo II Controller can be mounted in our optional enclosure. The enclosure has mounting tabs to allow mounting to or in another piece of equipment.

Install the USB drivers on your computer, just as
you would with any other USB device, then
plug in
the USB Servo controller. Sample software is included with source code, that demonstrates how to monitor/read the eight inputs and current servo postions,
and how to control the eight inputs & outputs and eight servos. Using Microsofts USB Humand Interface Device(HID) makes prgramming a snap. An Active X control is provided to
allow easy Visual Basic or Word & Excel marco programming.
You can create anything you can imagine, on a hardware platform the you are familiar with. Imagine the possibilities!
