CFSound III Specifications

The CFSound III (Compact FLASH Digital Audio System) incorporates the following:
Uses industry standard Compact FLASH (CF) Cards. Also known as digital film. Readily available at any store that sells cameras or computer products. Also available from ACS.

Operates on 12 - 15VDC.
Stereo and Mono .WAV files supported.
- 44KHz 16-Bit sample rate.
Built-in High-Power Digital Class D Stereo Amplifier for 4 or 8 ohm speakers.
- 20 - 20kHz Frequency Response
- THD+N @ 1kHz = 0.005%
Built-in 35mW stereo headphone amplifier.
- 16 - 64 ohm headphone support.
- 1/8" Sterao jack for headphone connection.
Two built-in contact inputs for triggering playing of audio files
- Expandable to 50 using two Contact Sense 24 I/O Modules.
Built in contact closure output(PTT "Push To Talk Relay") that closes when audio files are played.
(rated at 1 Amp @30VDC or 0.5 Amp @ 125VAC)
Expandable Inputs & Outputs using up to two IO Modules:
- Optional input contact sense, using IO Modules, for triggering sounds on closures, openings, or play while open or closed ACS-CF2-IO-CS8, ACS-CF2-IO-CS24
- Optional output contacts, using IO Modules, for device triggering when corresponding audio file is played ACS-CF2-IO-CIO8
- Optional DMX512 lighting IO Module for DMX Master or Slave Mode ACS-CF3-IO-DMX512
  - Master - Corresponding DMX device/lamp fades on when audio file plays, and fades off when audio file playout completes. xx.DMX text files can be placed on the compact flash card to output a DMX scene to mumerous DMX devices when each audio file plays
  - Slave - CFSound III plays corresponding audio file when DMX command is received
Line level output via 1/8" stereo jack for connection to external amplifier or PA system.
Line level input via 1/8" stereo jack for audio pass through when audio file is not playing.
Diagnostic LED’s to insure proper operation, configuration, and card status.
RS-232 port for built in optional ACS BASIC editor, or controlling via computer or PLC using simple ASCII protocol simulates input closures & openings. ASCII protocol allows play list to be download, played, deleted, started, stopped. Baud rate configurable via INI file located on Compact Flash Card.
FLASH based firmware for easy in-system/user upgrading through RS-232 port via attached PC.
Low power, 100mA idle, less than 250mA playing sounds at moderate volume levels.
Available Enclosed or Non-Enclosed, with or without wall transformer power supply.
Small size of only 6.1” x 4.2” x 1.75”.
