The CFSound III is expandable using IO modules and amplifiers.  IO modules can be added to provide contact inputs and outputs to the CFSound II.  Specifications: 24 Contact Inputs(Optically isolated - connect to Ground to activate input**) .15" Pluggable terminal blocks are used for connections Output modules provide individually controlled relay closures, that activate during playout of the corresponding audio file.  This can be used to trigger, activate, route audio, etc.. when audio files are played, allowing the CFSound II to provide a complete stand alone control or automation system. Input modules provide triggering/control of how and when the audio files play.  Individual wav files may be named so that they play when the corresponding inputs is opened(active to non-active), closure(non-active to active), open(while not active), closed(while active).  The input pins are 12VDC, and are brought to ground(negative) to activate. Combination input and output modules are available to provide triggering(input) of an audio file, as well as activating an output for the duration of the playout. This can be used to create interactive audio messages/responses. ** Audio can be triggered on individual input being opened(active to non-active), closure(non-active to active), open(while not active), closed(while active)!
